The overall of the Faculty of Security Sciences of Turkish
National Police Academy is to provide its cadets, the chief constables
of the future, with essential theoretical and practical knowledge and competence appropriate
to the 21st century. To be able to achieve this goal, the curriculum is arranged to accommodate national and international developments in
the related fields. Thus, besides courses aimed to gather information concerning the people to whom services will be offered, programs which
provide all the information and skills related to the profession are presented
to the constables of the future by well-experienced academic staff.
Our faculty staff are striving to train cadets to enable
them to serve more effectively in our fast developing society. We are
pleased to have seen the signs of our efforts in this regard, and hope
to see more progress in the future.
As well as training our domestic needs of chief constables,
the Faculty of Security Sciences of Turkish National Police Academy also contributes to the education of police chiefs from
ten other countries. In this respect, the Faculty serves a lot for the
prevention of crime and for the struggle against trans-national criminals.
The contribution of foreign graduates from our Faculty is very significant
in terms of developing international co-operation against cross-border
crimes.
